Wild Mushroom & Port Soup



Flavour packed wild mushroom soup with the hint of port wine.   An elegant start to any holiday meal.  Only available for Christmas or until supplies last.

Portion: 1 Litre

Dietaries:  Gluten Free

Ingredients: Chicken stock, beef stock, mushrooms, leeks, onion, morel mushrooms, port wine, butter, gluten free flour, salt, pepper

Heating Instructions:  Soup is frozen.  Thaw in refrigerator up to 2 days prior to serving soup.  Empty contents into medium pot on stove top and reheat gently over low heat 10-12 minutes or until hot, stirring occasionally.  OR FROM FROZEN, run hot water around outside of container to loosen contents.  Follow reheating directions but for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving Tips - Garnish with a drizzle of heavy cream and chopped chives or parsley.  Option to brown sliced mushrooms in butter and use as a garnish.  Serve in small espresso cups to sip on pre-dinner as an appetizer.
